The Chakras Simplified
What if I told you that learning about your chakras could improve your life and wellbeing in ways you may never have thought possible?
The 7 chakras are the energy centers of the body and connect us to ourselves, others, and the world around us. By studying your chakras you can more easily identify negative patterns and aspects of your life that aren’t working in your favor. Think of the chakras as a way to self-check and diagnose the various parts of your physical, mental, and spiritual life.
There are 7 chakras that are each responsible for a different aspect of our lives.
ROOT CHAKRA - Located at the base of the spine and is associated with safety, stability, and power.
SACRAL CHAKRA - Located in the lower abdomen and is associated with passion, creativity, and sexuality.
SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA - Located in the upper abdomen and is associated with self-identity, confidence, and self-esteem.
HEART CHAKRA - Located in the center of the chest and is associated with love, compassion, and connection.
THROAT CHAKRA - Located in your throat and is associated with communication, expression, and truth.
THIRD EYE CHAKRA - Located between your eyebrows and is associated with insight, intuition, and intellect.
CROWN CHAKRA - Located at the top of your head and is associated with enlightenment, spirituality, and consciousness.
When a chakra is functioning properly it is described as being balanced. When all of our chakras are balanced they are in alignment and we are the highest functioning version of ourselves.
When we go through difficult times or trauma, we may block out certain aspects of ourselves or push others away, resulting in underactive chakras. In addition to emotional and mental symptoms, we may experience physical symptoms. A good example is stress causing tension, aches, and exhaustion.
If a certain chakra is working overtime to compensate for a part of us that is struggling, it is overactive and can also have negative side affects.
